Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is URE-OUT?

URE-OUT is an effective cleaner for all biological messes. Its microbes attack the contamination, whether it's pet urine or feces, sweat-stained sports equipment, or mildewing milk, and eliminate both the stain and the odor.

The microbes in URE-OUT digest the mess and eliminate the odor quickly and safely. It's also safe to use around all the pets and humans in your home.

What types of stains and odors do URE-OUT work on?

Any organic contamination.  Here are some of the most common uses for URE-OUT:

  • Urine
  • Vomit
  • Milk
  • Skunk spray
  • Coffee
  • Tobacco smoke
  • Mould
  • Mildew
  • Sweat/perspiration
  • Food
  • Blood

How long until the concentrate expires?

The concentrate has a very long shelf life.  It will last for up to ten years, at that time it may not be as effective.

How long is the “ready to use” good for, once it is mixed with water?

The mixed product is most effective during the first year once mixed with water.  After that time it may not be as effective.  If you are not sure how old it is, add a little concentrate to re-activate the solution.

What does the stamped date on the side of the ready to use mean?

It is the date that your ready to use will start becoming less effective. Add more concentrate to add another year (1/6th of the bottle will do!)

If the product freezes, can I still use it?  How should I store it?

URE-OUT can go through a few freeze-thaw cycles and remain effective.  However, it is best to store URE-OUT at room temperature.

What is the difference between an enzyme cleaner and a microbial cleaner?

The are many enzyme cleaners in the stores.  An enzyme is a chemical cleaner.  Chemical cleaners clean the surface of the stain. URE-OUT is a microbial cleaner; it has billions of microbes that do the cleaning for you. When applied to a problem area, the microbes find and attack molecules of the contamination.  They break down (or digest) the stain, removing all of the contamination, even in the hardest to reach spots. It contains no chemicals and is perfectly safe for people and pets.

Will URE-OUT change the color of my carpet?

URE-OUT contains no chemicals capable of altering the color of carpet, fabric or any surface.

How long will the microbes live for, once applied on my carpet/stain?

The microbes continue to work, clean and fight odor for approximately three days. Though they do the most work in the first 24 hours.

Do I need to rinse after I use URE-OUT?

The only time it is helpful to rinse is when you use URE-OUT on clothing.  Just a quick rinse with water only and hang to dry.  For any other use, there is no need to rinse.
